How Does It Work?

Rather than removing bone with a surgical burr to gain access to the fractured root tip and elevate it out, the extractor burr locks into the tooth root, allowing the root to be extracted literally in 3-5 minutes.

So how does this incredible instrument actually work?

How To Use the Root Tip Extractor™?

Step 1: Drill a pilot hole in the root after the tooth has been extracted, then leaving the root in the extraction site. Remove drill.

Step 2: Replace drill with an appropriately sized Surgical Extractor Burr (SEB). Place SEB into slow speed hand piece, drill the SEB into the fractured root, then remove SEB from slow speed after SEB is locked into root.

Step 3: Position the Root Tip Extractor™ in the proper position, rotating the extractor head into either lower mandibular position or upper maxillary position. The extractor is a universal instrument, allowing full range of motion at the touch of a button, and moving from the lower to upper position flawlessly.

Step 4: Place the extractor head on the SEB; which provides a large range of motion for a successful extraction of the fractured root.

Note: Surgical extractor burrs (SEB’s) are one-time use.
